A Little About Myself
Hello! I am Brittany Stevens, and I am currently in my final year of schooling at Central Michigan University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising. My work focuses on branding and logo design, infographics, and editorial design. CMU has given me a lot of experiences that have helped me grow as personally and professionally, through my studio art courses to the internships that I have had the privilege of working.
My design career started in 2012 when I worked at CMU’s University Communications, where I created mailers, event posters, and web banners using the university’s branding. Afterwards, I took a gap year, or in my case 9, to travel the world with my husband as a military spouse. It’s during this time that I learned and now live by the phrase,
“If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail."
With that phrase in mind, I meticulously plan every phase of each project, how I can best accomplish the ‘mission’ in the timeframe needed, and consider how my designs will function in their real world application. I always have a back up plan... and then a back up plan for the back up (lol).
